Welcome to The Pine Marten

The Pine Marten is a real country pub with a difference, located just outside Harrogate, nestling in the heart of Yorkshire. The pub dates back to the 1820’s when it was the home of Robert Wigglesworth, the creator of the world’s largest telescope.

The pub has been wonderfully restored to its former glory incorporating the values of traditional pub hospitality together with modern designs featuring stone fired ovens, log burning hearths, deep leather seating and spacious teak furniture. The stylish interior is light and spacious with natural materials adding to a contemporary design and ambiance.

The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute with lots of comfort appeal, with homely things like pizzas, steaks and pasta with some more global dishes to keep things lively. We have recently added a selection of sandwiches and light lunches. We have a passion for excellent food that we are sure you will enjoy.

Our wine list contains a wide range of New and Old world wines that suit all occasions and styles, ranging from traditional Clarets to Pink Pinot Grigio. We also stock lots of Champagnes for when you wish to celebrate a special occasion or even make an ordinary occasion special!

Our well stocked bar has 10 different beers on tap ranging from perfectly chilled Continental lagers, to delicious European speciality beers, such as Leffe and Erdinger, as well as some of the finest cask ales in the region.

The atmosphere at The Pine Marten is relaxed, friendly and informal. You will love the warmth and hospitality that will make your visit a memorable one.

Opening Times

We now serve food all day until 10pm Monday to Thursday, and until 10.30pm Friday and Saturday. On a Sunday we now open our dining room until 9.30pm.

Additionally, we have extended our pub opening times until 11.30pm midweek. And at the weekend you can now extend your stay with us until 12.30am.
